The Higher Intentions Mindset & Performance Center is dedicated to developing the mental, emotional, and physical habits that support high-level athletic performance and long-term personal growth.
Led by Carolyn Smyth Murphy, the Mindset & Perforance Center provides structured support for athletes and teens through mindfulness, recovery practices, and performance-based mental training.
This department exists to complement on-court development by strengthening focus, discipline, resilience, and overall well-being.
At Higher Intentions, we believe performance is built on more than physical training. Athletes improve faster and sustain success when they develop strong mental habits, recovery routines, and self-awareness.
The Mindset & Performance Center is designed to help athletes stay grounded, focused, and consistent in both sports and life.
The Mindset & Performance Center is designed for:
- Student-athletes
- Teens looking to build structure and discipline
- Athletes seeking mental performance support
- Individuals committed to personal growth and consistency
- Guided breathing and recovery techniques designed to improve focus, reduce stress, and support physical and mental recovery after training and competition.
- Structured sessions focused on attention control, visualization, confidence building, and performance mindset under pressure.
- Small group sessions that help athletes build awareness, discipline, and accountability through guided reflection and goal setting.
- Movement-based recovery sessions focused on flexibility, injury prevention, and long-term athletic development.
Our Approach
Our approach is simple: build better habits, improve focus, and develop resilience through consistent practice.
Everything in the Wellness Center is designed to translate directly into improved performance on the court, in the classroom, and in daily life.
